MNN has merged with Treehugger to be a new force of nature.
| | We're Back! | Hello to MNN newsletter subscribers! It’s been a while since you heard from us, so here’s the news: MNN has merged with Treehugger; as editorial director Melissa Breyer notes, “We’ve united to become a single force of nature.” We are now part of Dotdash, a media company that helps “people find answers, solve problems, and get inspired.” That’s pretty much what we have been trying to do for 15 years in the green world, so it’s a great fit. It’s taken some time to get all the mailing lists sorted out, (sorry about that!) but we have it all figured out now. We are mixing the best of both sites, combining the latest green news with the kind of deeper information you need to understand the environmental issues we face. The newsletter is also a bit different; I have been editor of the Treehugger newsletter for about 10 years and try to brighten your morning, burying all the dire stuff at the bottom. You will probably get your first full edition tomorrow; I hope you like it. If you don’t like it you can always hit the teensy little “unsubscribe” button at the bottom. But I hope that you stick around. It all looks a bit different but it’s a bigger, combined team with lots to say. If you have any comments or criticism, feel free to contact me, Lloyd Alter, directly at [email protected]. | |
