A Delano couple is offering a $5,000 reward after someone demanded and received a ransom for their dog. The dog was later found dead, apparently shot, on a nearby lake. Bob Collins writes, "the civilized world will put up with a lot of incidents of savagery. But killing a dog isn’t one of them."
Xcel says it expects the federal tax law will save the company $141 million. For Minnesota Power, it's nearly $24 million and for Otter Tail Power it's $5 million.
