Mixed Media Textiles with Anne Kelly

Join us on May 15th, when award-wining author and tutor Anne Kelly returns to Atelier Beside the Sea for Moving Memories – a mixed media textiles workshop. It's the first of two special master classes with Anne this year.

Anne's densely stitched textiles have been likened to ‘small worlds’, creating wall hangings and objects using a mixture of mixed media collage and hand and machine embroidery.

Working from techniques explored in her book Textile Travels, Anne invites you to look through your collections and conjure memories of past travels, or places you would like to visit, making a personal and meaningful folding book about a special place - actual or imagined.

Only a few spots remain on the course, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Submissions for our Atelier OPEN remain open

You've got a few weeks left to apply to exhibit in our summer open call exhibition.

We're inviting submissions from anyone over the age of 16, working in (almost) any subject and method.

Come July, our galleries will be brimming full of art of all kinds. Last year we exhibited 250 artworks by 130 artists.
