🚨 St. Paul police shoot, critically injure man suspected in Minneapolis homicides. Authorities announced Tuesday afternoon that the 40-year-old man — who reportedly pointed a handgun at St. Paul officers — was a suspect in two recent Minneapolis shootings, including one at a homeless encampment on Sunday that left two people dead.

A new report estimates there are more than 40 million eligible voters with disabilities; yet turnout rates among this voting bloc continue to be lower than in the wider population. Law changes have helped to reduce these gaps, but experts say challenges still remain.
🎧 Minneapolis shooting suspect's mental health history raises gun ownership questions. Since January, Minnesota has allowed family members, county attorneys or a chief law enforcement officers to request what’s called an extreme risk protection order, which prohibits someone from buying or having a gun if they pose a significant risk. It’s also known as a red flag law. Since it was enacted this year, 102 orders have been filed and 91 have been granted across Minnesota.
