June 8, 2022 People are signing up for Minnesota’s pandemic frontline worker bonuses at a brisk clip today. The state agency overseeing the program says more than 28,000 applications were submitted in the first three hours since an online application program opened this morning. The site enables eligible workers to seek a share of a $500 million bonus pool. Almost 700,000 people who reported for duty at risky points of the COVID-19 pandemic could be in line for the financial awards. The number of applicants was rising steadily despite early problems that slowed the completion of some applications.
