Minnesota, along with several other northern states, is heavily reliant on Canada to meet its energy needs. 🏥 Klobuchar, Smith call for answers about potential Indian Health Service office lease termination. Sens. Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar are pressing for answers regarding the potential termination of the Bemidji Area Indian Health Service’s lease, underlining treaty obligations and concerns for disruptions in services. ⚖️ There are calls to pardon Chauvin. Here’s why it wouldn’t get him out of prison. Trump can pardon Chauvin’s 20-year federal convictions for violating Floyd’s civil rights, but pardoning or commuting Chauvin’s 22 ½ year state sentence is out of his jurisdiction. ⛄ Reported snowfall totals from Minnesota’s March winter storm. MPR News contacted the Carver County Sheriff’s Office, who says they were unaware of the complaint until they started receiving media requests. 🏛️ Minnesota man treated ‘like a dog’ before murder in upstate New York, prosecutor says. Prosecutors in upstate New York say seven people were indicted on first-degree murder charges in the killing of 24-year-old Sam Nordquist who was subjected to weeks of torture. |
