Cora van Nieuwenhuizen, Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management visited Europort this morning. She opened the new NL flag portal, which will allow more foreign shipping companies to sail under the Dutch tricolor. Afterwards, she received the first copy of the latest Maritime Monitor. She commented that she was impressed by the maritime exhibition.
"I have been a minister for maritime affairs for two years now and I am surprised almost daily about new innovative developments. The Netherlands is at the forefront when it comes to sustainable measures to combat carbon dioxide emissions, for example. And what about autonomous sailing? I have seen good examples of this today. We can be proud of our maritime sector and the fact that we are among the best in the world.” | |
