We’re approaching the end of this Millionaire Productivity Secrets mini series…
(If you’ve missed some of these emails, just type “Millionaire productivity secrets for more wealth and success in 2023” into your Gmail search bar — or whatever email client you use)
…And we’re going to be wrapping things up with two potentially life changing habits that I believe anyone can benefit from.
Starting today with Millionaire Productivity Secret number six:
Self-reflection & Introspection
This one isn’t “sexy”.
It’s not some cookie cutter tactic. By its very nature, it requires some deep thought.
But if you’ll commit to doing this… I promise it will lead to a far greater transformation in your wealth, health, and quality of life than almost anything else.
If you’ve applied any of these productivity secrets so far, you’re starting to have more whitespace in your schedule for BIG thinking…
Which is exactly what this is.
So the whole idea is, each week, start doing a weekly review.
You can jot it down on paper to make it easier to work through…
And simply start going back through the past 7 days and asking yourself:
What worked last week?
Where was I on my game? Where did I match my intensity with the activity? Where was I at my best as a leader? And so on…
And then the next question to ask is:
What didn't work?
Where did I drop the ball? Where did my performance fall short? Where did I not do something that was important to me, that I committed I would? Where did I snap at someone — my kids, wife, a team member, or whoever?
And then once you know what worked and what didn't…
You do more of what works and less of what doesn't.
That's it. Very simple.
But if you do this… if you go through this loop weekly, preferably daily (all it takes is five minutes each night)...
Just think about how much better you’ll get in every area you want to improve.
If you do this once per week that's 52 iterations of this feedback loop each year. And it will be impossible not to make massive improvements over time.
Remember... I was a broke, struggling, introverted, socially anxious, binge-drinking personal trainer…
Yet today people can't believe I'm introverted because of the energy I bring on podcasts and videos.
But that’s just a learnable skill which I improved over time by going through the feedback loop over and over again.
Going through the cycle of making a video… then watching it, finding the improvement, doing another one, watching it, finding the improvement, making the adjustment, and so on.
And just doing that hundreds and hundreds of times allowed me to get exponentially better.
What most people don’t realize is that you can and should apply the same principle to each day.
When you do, you compound the thousands of daily micro lessons — which are otherwise mostly forgotten.
You’ll also start to see the more macro patterns you can take advantage of… and things you never noticed before but want to change.
So even though it’s not “sexy”...
THAT’S why you need to make time for self-reflection & introspection…
And do at least a weekly, if not daily review.
Once you implement this 7-figure habit you’ll begin to see every area of your life improve.
It won’t happen all at once… but as long as you keep doing it the improvement will never stop.
