Dear CHAC Community,

CHAC's Annual Fundraiser Milagros del Corazon is just around the corner, Feb. 11th from 5pm - 9pm at CHAC Gallery. We are so excited!!!  Milagros del Corazon is free and open to the public.

For "Milagros del Corazón" CHAC artists and community members
paint hand-crafted hearts, created with their heart and soul. Each heart is as unique as the artist that created it. These hearts are auctioned off during the evening’s silent auction, along with other artwork and gift baskets. This event is a perfect time to get ready for Valentine’s Day, while supporting CHAC Gallery and making it possible for them to continue serving the community. "Milagros del Corazón" is among CHAC’s signature events, 2023 marks its 16th year. CHAC artists are excited and busy making hearts to send love out into the community. This is a magical event that builds and supports the community by using a heart as a common medium. There will be a youth wall showcasing youth artists that supports CHAC's education program.

CHAC artists, community members and youth, want to make a heart for the silent auction? Come pick them up at CHAC Wed.-Sat., 12 noon - 4pm. Hearts will be due back Feb. 8th to CHAC.  Want to volunteer for the event? Want to donate items, gift cards, art to the silent auction?

Don't forget it is First Friday this week. CHAC will be open 6 pm - 9 pm and this will be the last time to see "Fantasy and Dreams" exhibit this year. This has been a magical exhibit, inspiring all ages! Special thank you to the curator Damaris Santos.

The Luna Family is holding a Bob Luna Memorial Art Show Feb. 18th from 12 noon - 4pm at CHAC Gallery. Bob Luna is very missed by his family, community and students.

CHAC Featured Artist~Cierra Ruibal
Hi my name is Cierra. I am a local Hispanic artist who loves creating. I grew up in a family full of artists. I always was inspired by their paintings, stain glass windows, and drawings. I love to find inspiration in my daily life and create something beautiful with it. My dream is to travel the world and one day sell my art full time. I look forward to sharing my art with everyone and the beauty I see in the world.

CHAC Membership
CHAC Gallery & Cultural Center was founded in 1978 by a group of visual and performing artists. The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts.

CHAC is an inclusive community of creatives that are dedicated to preserving, showcasing, educating and reflecting the essence of Chicano/a/x, Latino/a/x and other multicultural/multiracial communities.
