These are among the changes to the city-parish’s home rule charter that residents will vote on this fall. Northwest Atlantic great white sharks are known to travel south from the coasts of Canada and Cape Cod during winter months, but only a handful have ever been tracked swimming west through the Gulf of Mexico past the Mississippi River. But several great whites have been tracked swimming deep in the Gulf this year. BRQ in Baton Rouge serves a colossal slice of carrot cake that is 4 inches wide and 7 inches tall.
