So much shade!
| | I don't know about you, dear Royal Watchers, but I've been re-reading this story from the New York Times about Kensington Palace's and Sussex Royal's Instagram accounts and I'm obsessed.
In a nutshell, the author asks why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's social media account has failed to overtake the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's account, in terms of followers, despite the Sussexes' ginormous popularity.
Is there a royal Instagram conspiracy afoot or is it all just coincidence that the two accounts are virtually neck and neck? The answer? Well, it's complicated but fascinating. Make sure to add it to your weekend reading list.
Have a great weekend, Royal Watchers! 👑👑 |

| | | | | | | This week, Prince Harry travelled to Edinburgh as part of a slew of final engagements before he and his wife, Meghan Markle, step away from being senior members of the Royal Family.
In his opening remarks, the Duke of Sussex noted that the travel industry is booming but this surge in tourism is bad for the environment. He then made the argument that sustainable travel should become the norm.
“If we do not act, and in large part get ahead of this inevitable surge, this massive increase will mean we see more of the world’s beautiful destinations closed or destroyed, more communities becoming overwhelmed, more beaches shut because of pollution, and animals and wildlife driven from their natural habitat," Harry said.
“Based on our research, there is an increasing desire for these types of trips — and we want to make them a reality for everyone, but we can’t do it without your help ... I want to help create a platform where all of us concerned about these issues can work together, where competitors can unite and incentivize a positive systemic change.”
