MEF's Fall Speaker Series: Iran's Shadow Outreach and Israel's Victory MEF cordially invites you to attend a series of briefings this Fall. Join MEF Director, Gregg Roman, as he exposes the hidden mechanisms employed by Iran to expand its influence in the Middle East and beyond. Those methods include smuggling routes across Armenia, the illegal drug trade in Captagon, financing the regime of Bashar al-Assad, money laundering in Europe, concealed oil trade in Costa Rica, and purchasing aircraft parts in Brazil. The challenges facing Israel from Iranian-backed militias and Tehran’s efforts to surround Israel with its agents figure centrally in this account. These discussions are based on Mr. Roman’s travels in Brazil, Costa Rica, Italy, Israel, Armenia, and beyond, as well as research conducted by the Middle East Forum’s investigative staff. The talk promises a startling new perspective on Middle East politics. Please join us for this informative, off-the-record, and confidential presentation. Meet Jonathan Spyer, MEF Director of Research and MEQ Editor, who will give a comprehensive overview of the current strategic situation in the Middle East, detailing the main players, groups, and strategic trend-lines. He will discuss the Iranian challenge to Israel and the regional order, the tensions to Israel’s north, and the ongoing stalemate in Syria. Mr. Spyer will look also into Israel’s efforts to build a counter-Iran coalition, the significance of the Abraham Accords, the hopes for Israel-Saudi normalization, and the role of global players in the regional picture. RSVP to an event by clicking on one of the links below. All lunches will take place from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. Business attire is required. We hope you can join! |
