25th Anniversary Gala Speaker Announcement: Ron Dermer Israeli Ambassador to the United States Please join Amb. Ron Dermer and the Middle East Forum as we celebrate the work and accomplishments of 25 years. Mix and mingle with Israel's long-time ambassador to the United States during the gala's cocktail hour, where photo opportunities will be available. Sit for dinner as we celebrate our past and look towards the future. Listen to our eloquent speakers offer insights from unique perspectives. Ron Dermer, a Miami Beach native, began his formal career in U.S.-Israel relations in 2005 when he was appointed as Israel’s economic envoy to Washington. He subsequently served as senior advisor to Prime Minister Netanyahu in 2009-2013 and as ambassador since 2013. He is a long-time friend of MEF; for example, in March 2001, he brought Benjamin Netanyahu and Daniel Pipes together to discuss the latter’s 1999 article about the Golan Heights. Don’t miss this celebration to meet friends, old and new, and to mingle with the people who have made MEF what it is today. Black-tie optional. Please RSVP by May 6. To honor our supporters, the event is complimentary to all donors who give $500 a year or more (or $1,000 per couple). More speakers will be announced in the weeks ahead.
