More About Sara, In Her Own Words | What’s your most annoying Crohn’s symptoms? Being in remission now I often don’t have stomach pains, although that would be the number worst symptom. At the moment, I have to say the chronic fatigue and the brain fog can be unreal sometimes. Even in remission that can still happen and it’s okay! During those times, I try to have a little more compassion for myself and take a moment to rest and re-energize. Pushing myself in those situations will only do more harm I’ve realized.
What’s your favorite hobby? I love anything that’s creative, whether it’s photography, painting, colouring or beading!
Do you have a doctor you love? If so, what makes them so great? I may be biased, but I of course have to say mine and my whole medical team. We have a special IBD clinic here in Montreal General Hospital, and the team is so amazing. When I had a peril anal abscess, I was able to email them and show up within 2 days for an appointment, they truly are life saviours. They are always there for us. |
