Meet the Creators Behind the Best Designed and Most Accessible Web Experiences Presented by WP Engine, Crafted with Code explores the creative processes behind the year’s most innovative sites. Dive into our first edition, exploring design and accessibility. |
The Internet is the world’s largest community; at its best it is inclusive and equitable. While visual design and accessible design may not have been viewed through the same lens in the past, we believe that the two can intersect together in beautiful and impactful ways. The Webby Awards, in partnership with WP Engine, is showcasing the stories behind this intentional design through Crafted with Code, an annual platform that celebrates the ingenuity of Webby Winners, Nominees, and Honorees and showcases the stories behind Webby-recognized websites. This year, the Webbys team decided to do things a bit differently. In a video-first series, Crafted with Code zeroed in on teams that exemplify excellence across the fields of design, accessibility, innovation and performance. The first edition explores what it takes to make great visual design and accessible design, as well as the intersections between the two disciplines. Watch the brand-new series that interviews teams behind these innovative projects, including Guild by Athletics, The Society for Experiential Graphic Design by Wide Eye, BRIC Arts & Media by Bellweather Agency, Marriott’s Travel by Design Hub and The Public Diagnosis by Oliver Grace. Explore the series and dive into the minds of the world’s best teams in digital. Presented by The Webby Awards and WP Engine since 2019, Crafted with Code shares the stories behind the best of the Web through interviews with developers, designers, and creators around the world on the creativity, mastery and technical innovation it takes to make great work. |
