A lor introduction

Yooooo! My name is Alanah Nichole Davis, and I'm thrilled to be the new lead Baltimore reporter for Technical.ly. I’m excited to cut up with y’all (that means have a good time). I've spent the past few years in Baltimore City, exploring and working at the intersections between entrepreneurship, art, festivals, community building and culture. If you've been around town, you may have seen me? Whether you have or not, you can learn a lot more in the Q&A below.

While I'm now a journalist, my roots are in poetry, event organizing, advocacy and content creation. Every experience I’ve had and my ancestors led me down a path to writing articles as a freelance author for both local and national publications. I'm excited to bring my unique lens, informed by spending nearly a decade as a self-employed consultant for Baltimore’s nonprofit sector, to Technical.ly. Moreover, I'm eager to share the stories of the businesses and people that make Baltimore such a special place. But you already know about that specialness.

I'm definitely looking for companies to profile and leads for stories, so feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. I’m excited to get to know more about the entrepreneurs and other professionals invested in our local economy here. If those entrepreneurs are Black, Queer, youth-led (you get the gist), then I’d love to show them even more love.
