A year of change?

Today, Technical.ly's newsroom published our second annual RealLIST Connectors lists, rounding up new crops of innovators who are widening access to the tech communities we cover. We took a special look at folks whose work directly reflects the challenges of the past year, from pandemic responses to racial equity initiatives.

It comes on the eve of a somber anniversary. George Floyd's murder on May 25, 2020, in Minneapolis sparked nationwide protests, as Black Americans led the call demanding accountability for police brutality.

Those protests also brought about a sweep of corporate DEI pledges and funding commitments for racial justice. Technical.ly reported on many of them locally. One year later, have they made a difference? Are companies following through? Are workplaces any more equitable than they were before employees demanded that leadership do better?

It's something we'll continue to explore in June, one year later. But we're eager to hear your thoughts as we shape our reporting plans.

Email [email protected] to let us know: What's changed in the past year, if anything?
