Welcome to “Media 3.0.” As the name implies, it’s the latest version of news, analysis, data and insights from MediaPost. Why 3.0? Because 2.0 already seems so yesteryear and ever newer media technologies keep evolving -- and disappearing -- fast. (Remember the metaverse?) The name is also a nod to Web3 and other emerging disruptive media and business models and how they are impacting advertising, media and marketing. MediaPost’s publications have been in a state of constant iteration since we were founded in the mid-1990s with publications like “Just An Online Minute” and “Online Media Daily.” Just recently we even sunsetted “Digital News Daily,” because all media are essentially digital now and the industry, now more than ever, needs to continually focus on what’s emerging. “Media 3.0” will begin with weekly news analysis and commentary.
