WHO and State of Qatar to launch new multiyear partnership on making FIFA World Cup 2022 and mega sporting events healthy and safe.

When: Monday, 18 October 2021, 11.00 CEST

Subject: The World Health Organization and the State of Qatar, in collaboration with FIFA, will launch a new partnership and project titled "Healthy 2022 World Cup - Creating Legacy for Sport and Health". During the same event, WHO will also announce the appointment of a new WHO Goodwill ambassador for sports and health.

·         H.E. Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, Qatar.
