SUBJECT: Hypertension is the primary risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, which are the leading causes of death in the Americas, responsible for the loss of around 2 million lives each year.
As we approach World Hypertension Day (17 May), PAHO experts will provide an update on hypertension in the region and how to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
