Launch: What works to prevent online violence against children
When: Friday, 2 December 15:00 – 16:00 CET Register to join the webinar. A recording of the webinar will be available here. A new report What works to prevent online violence against children presents ways to address the growing worldwide concern of keeping children safe online. It focuses specifically on two forms of online violence: child sexual abuse including grooming and sexual image abuse; cyber aggression and harassment in the form of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, hacking and identity theft.Violence is a major driver of poor health globally, both directly through physical and psychological injuries it causes and indirectly through its impact on families, communities and society. Online violence against children is a particularly toxic form of violence because of its capacity to disrupt normal child development, leading to a lifetime of poor physical and mental health.
