Click here Tuesday, 8 February 2022 MEDIA ADVISORY ACT-Accelerator Campaign LaunchDate and Time: Wednesday 9 February from 15:00 to 16:00 CET Subject: ACT-Accelerator Advocacy Campaign launch event This event aims to raise awareness of the ACT-Accelerator partnership’s achievements and build political support for the urgent financial needs of its agencies to scale up their vital work providing low and middle-income countries with tests, treatments, vaccines, and personal protective equipment. The event will launch a new financing framework agreed by the ACT-Accelerator Facilitation Council’s Finance and Resource Mobilization Working Group, which outlines a grant funding ask to support ACT-Accelerator agencies’ work for the most vulnerable countries. The framework sets out guidance on the ‘fair share’ of financing that richer countries should each contribute to the ACT-Accelerator’s global response. ‘Fair shares’ are calculated based on the size of their national economy and what they would gain from a faster recovery of the global economy and trade.
