Immigration Health Surcharge due to increase

The government has confirmed that the immigration health surcharge is due to double to £400 per year from December 2018 (the exact date is still to be confirmed). Alongside the increase in fees for immigration and nationality applications earlier this year, migrants applying for 30 months limited leave to remain will now be expected to pay £2,033 up front, making it increasingly difficult for those needing to regularise their status. Want to know what this means for migrant children, young people and families? See our briefings here, and the 'We Belong' campaign that we are working on with Let Us Learn.

New training dates!

CCLC have added new training dates for the coming year on the rights of children and young people in the immigration system, and access to education for migrant children. For more information, and to book onto training sessions, click here.

Fact sheet: EU children, young people and families

We have updated our fact sheet on EU children, young people and families. The fact sheet covers information on residence rights of citizens of EU countries who are in the UK, and the rights of their family members. Click here to view our fact sheet.
