By: Charles Bradley, Global Editor in Chief Motorsport.com The Monaco Grand Prix is always a special race to look forward to – given its amazing history, glitz and glamour – so it’s the perfect place for McLaren to race its achingly-cool, one-off Gulf Oil livery. Although the blue and orange colours were more associated with McLaren in GT racing and at Le Mans, its support goes right back to Bruce himself carrying their logos on his F1 and Can-Am cars. Let’s hope it has more success than the last time we saw a one-off retro scheme in F1, when Mercedes suffered a horrible weekend celebrating its 125th anniversary at Hockenheim in 2019! |
