Situational Analysis | September 13, 2023 It's Wednesday and National Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day. ð©ð¼âð³ Have fun with that. What You Need to Know House Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. McCarthy claimed Biden profited off his son Hunter Bidenâs business dealings with foreign entities, and that Biden gave his son and other family members âspecial treatment.â In 2019, McCarthy said the House must âintend to hold a vote of the full House authorizing an impeachment inquiry,â or it âwould create a process completely devoid of any merit or legitimacy.' He did not hold a vote yesterday. All of Utah's delegation, minus Chris Stewart who did not respond to a request for a comment, support the investigation. All GOP presidential candidates also support the inquiry. Gov. Cox, other bipartisan governors plan to tackle immigration as part of his âDisagree Betterâ campaign. âImmigration is a federal issue â the Constitution makes that very clear â but states play an important role,â he said. âWe think that we can give some cover to Congress as they start to work on this because there are things that people agree on.â Rapid Relevance Popular nasal decongestant doesn't actually relieve congestion, FDA experts say; snow fell at Brian Head Resort on Tuesday; inflation up 3.7% in August; US incomes fall for 3rd straight year; escaped murderer finally recaptured in Pennsylvania.
