On to some quick headlines: We appear to have a finality in the matter of the developer who wants to put in a convenience store with gasoline pumps at the former Flowers Etc. building on University Avenue. After Mayor-President Monique Boulet vetoed the city council's approval, council members could not enact an override on the matter. So unless the owner goes to court with the matter -- similar to the Glomax project, which a judge tossed out -- the matter is settled and the project will go forward as a convenience store.
