D.C. Mayor announces restricted access to Tidal Basin, National Mall due to COVID-19 fears
The mayor says D.C. police have been directed to work with D.C. National Guard to enforce a "restricted access zone" around the Tidal Basin until "further notice."

Virginia Dept. of Health says a sixth person has died from COVID-19
All three were women in their eighties and were hospitalized. The patients were from Newport News, Williamsburg, and James City County.
