Deadpool 2 is out today, and while we don't have an official review up, I felt it was important to declare a 5-star, two thumbs up, spoiler-free review of one specific element of the film: Zazie Beetz's Domino.

New She-Ra Princesses of Power poster
She-Ra was my absolute faaaaavorite cartoon growing up. I would race home after school to get home in time to watch it in those prehistoric days before everyone had a VCR. I had action figures. I had the Crystal Castle. Most importantly, I had a female hero who, despite her being white and blonde, I didn't have to break my brain in order to see myself as. Now, she's back for a whole new generation of kids.

How Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Became Marvel’s Little Show That Could

Marvel and ABC's Agents of SHIELD cast
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Season 5 finishes up tonight (Friday, May 18) with a finale fittingly titled “The End”. The show has struggled for years to stay on the air, and yet, the Little Series That Could got renewed for Season 6, after what was already considered a “miracle” season this year. How does this keep happening?

If you were watching Season One of Star Trek: Discovery, you know that it ended with a cliffhanger that very definitively (if Sarek being a recurring character and Burnham being his adopted child didn't do that already) tied the show to Original Series canon. Now, Discovery star Sonequa Martin-Green gives us some insight into where the show is headed in Season Two.

While I'm not one for the "someone kills Lois and therefore Clark goes evil" narrative, the reality is that a neutral organization should have access to Kryptonite.

How Young Is Too Young to Watch Avengers: Infinity War?

Captain America fights Thanos in Avengers Infinity War
My friend told me a story the other day: a receptionist in her office, knowing that my friend was an Avengers fan, asked whether she should take her 7-year-old son to see the movie. "He's the biggest Spider-Man fan," the receptionist explained. "He wants to dress in his Spider-Man costume to watch it." My friend's eyes went round with horror. "No," she said. "Oh, no, no, no. Take your kid and run in the opposite direction."

There has been a lot of discussion and criticism over the song “Girls” by Rita Ora, Cardi B. and Charli XCX. Lesbian artist, Hayley Kiyoko, and queer artist, Kehlani, called out the song for lyrics that seem to imply that women need to drink wine in order to kiss girls.

Jennifer Aniston to Play First Female Queer President in Netflix’s First Ladies

Jennifer Aniston
Now here's a political ticket I can get behind. Jennifer Aniston has signed on to play the first queer female president in the new feature comedy First Ladies. Netflix will be producing the film, which also stars comedian Tig Notaro as the First Lady. The political comedy centers on Beverly and Kasey Nicholson, America’s first female President and her wife, the First Lady, in a story that promises to show that behind every great woman is another great woman.

Evangeline Lilly Says a Stunt Coordinator Intentionally Injured Her on the Set of Lost

Ant-Man
Evangeline Lilly appeared on a panel about stuntwomen in the industry, where she accused a misogynistic stunt coordinator of intentionally injuring her on the set of Lost. Lilly claimed that the injury was retaliation after she requested to do her own stunts for an action scene that involved her rolling off a high tree branch and hanging onto it. While Lilly was safely harnessed to the branch, the rough bark of the tree shredded the skin on her forearms.
