I am always looking for free storage. Shoe boxes are great except you can't see what is in them. What is more frustrating than not knowing what is inside, is not knowing if there is anything inside.

Dishes would pile up in our house partially because nobody knew if the dishwasher was full of clean or dirty dishes. I was about to throw an old scratched CD away when this idea popped in my head, a recycled CD clean or dirty indicator!
Organizing Measuring Cups and Spoons

Do you have too many sets of measuring cups? I think I might. To sort it out, I found some medium size containers (I had lots of large yogurt cups) and labeled them by the different capacities of each cup, and then I broke up the sets into these containers.

The plastic trays that come in frozen dinners make great organizers for your desk drawer. The compartments are perfect for paperclips, rubber bands, and the like, and they are free.
