Dear MRM Partners:
Thanks to all of you who asked about my family. I want to assure you, as of today, Tiah, Kaylee, Kyle and I are all safe and doing well. Please know that you are in my prayers as well. I am praying for your welfare and asking God to keep you safe. Regarding the spread of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus), things are changing in our community and across the United States daily. Please remember our homeless in prayer during this current crisis.
I wish I could look into the future and tell you what’s coming down the road, but I can’t. While I don’t know what the future holds, I do know who holds the future. My faith remains strong in our Heavenly Father who will guide us through these uncertain times. Please be encouraged by Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God… While I can’t define how this will be good, I can say that God’s promises are true, and He is doing something good even if we don’t understand. |

The unexpected blessing in all of this has been the warm weather. With temperatures well above freezing, it appears as if we may be headed for an early Spring. We have not had to open shelters in the last couple of weeks. This has allowed us an opportunity to clean and sanitize shelters in the event we did have to open. Over 12 hours were split between laundry and cleaning.
Please note that due to recent request from our city regarding public meetings, we cancelled both of our upcoming fundraisers in the interest of public safety. The March 17 McDonalds Grand Re-opening/Hotcakes fundraiser is being moved to a future date. As soon as I can confirm, I will send out notification. Also, the Parade of Partners fundraiser featuring Comedian Peppi Garrett has been moved from April 23rd to September 10, 2020. Both projected fundraisers would have brought in much needed funds to support operations and boost our efforts to purchase property. Your support in days to come, will be critical to our moving forward.
