Come Hear Tomorrow: Stave Sessions, March 21-24
| Stave Sessions delivers four nights of cross-pollinated music by brilliant contemporary musicians with little use for labels or rules; an uptown home for the emerging, the experimental and the collaborative. Join us at one or all of the performances, featuring Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society, yMusic, Melissa Aldana, and TIGUE with Innov Gnawa. The concerts take place at 160 Mass Ave., an intimate space at Berklee College of Music.

South American Cowboys Bring Fancy Footwork to the Shubert! | We’re just weeks away from the Boston debut of Argentina’s Che Malambo, a thrilling, percussive dance and music spectacle that celebrates the unique South American cowboy tradition of the gaucho. This powerhouse all-male company of 14 gauchos is directed by French choreographer and former ballet dancer, Gilles Brinas. Che Malambo brings fiery Malambo traditions and virtuosic dancing to the stage for an exhilarating and entertaining show that is perfect for the entire family. Neighborhood Arts This Month | After visiting five Boston public schools next week, the Guy Mendilow Ensemble (GME) will bring its world and ladino music to two community concerts. Join us Saturday, March 11 (3pm), at the Kroc Center in Dorchester for the Boston debut of "Three Sides to Every Story" with GME and the Boston City Singers. Medilow shares more on the background of this captivating program in our blog. On Sunday, March 12 (Noon), the GME musicians perform a family concert at the South End's St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Both events are free and open to the public, though we recommend you RSVP to reserve your seats! The workshops will culminate with a performance on April 7 (7:30pm) featuring a rhythm piece composed by BCLA students and performed by BCLA dancers. Next month, come celebrate spring with us in an afternoon of dance and song! On April 1 at 4pm, pan-latin ensemble Sol y Canto returns to the South End’s Villa Victoria for a family concert.
