Eid mubarak to all those who celebrate! And a Happy Mother's Day too.

Here's what we've been up to at Bradt since last month.

We started strong with the publication of three new guides - Northumberland, Dumfries & Galloway, and Pantanal Wildlife - and the release of Hilary Bradt’s wonderful memoir Taking the Risk in audiobook and paperback format.

We marked Women’s History Month by celebrating our wonderful female authors. Don't miss Jennifer Barclay's Wild Abandon and Mary Novakovich's My Family and Other Enemies.

We also had our eyes to the skies this month and watched a partial solar eclipse with the help of our guide to Solar Eclipses. If you missed it, now’s the perfect time to plan ahead for the next celestial spectacle.

We crowned the winner of our 2025 New Travel Writer of the Year competition (you can read the winning entry here) and took a deep dive into Alabama’s historic civil rights sites.

And finally, we’ve been busy preparing for some exciting events behind the scenes, starting with the Sherborne Travel Writing Festival on 11th April. Get your tickets for that here.​
