By: Charles Bradley, Global Editor in Chief Motorsport.com In a volatile world, it’s good to be able to rely on some things – like Marc Marquez winning MotoGP’s Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin over the weekend. As usual, all the pre-race talk was about the state of the track, which appeared to have ramped (yumped?) up since MotoGP was last there in 2019. I remember that weekend’s jaw-dropping big story was Marquez’s low-speed fall that cost him his incredible winning streak in the USA. The Marquez of 2021 is a more-wounded animal, of course, but on COTA’s anti-clockwise layout – despite its crazy undulations – his injuries didn’t hamper him so much. Another incredible ride, another dominant win. Just imagine what he’d be doing every weekend if he was at full fitness? |
