Going big on Grand Isle: Grand Isle was absolutely smacked by Hurricane Ida two summers ago. The island’s coming back, but in a much different way, Blake Paterson reports. There’s an influx of money – and yachts with names like “Badonkadonk” – on the way. Seven times: A New Orleans security guard shot a man seven times outside the public library over the weekend. That’s no typo. When police asked the guard how many times she shot the man, she replied “Too many.” Gordon Russell and Joni Hess report on her subsequent arrest. Alarming infant mortality rates: Louisiana's infant mortality rate is almost 40% higher than the national rate.
