Good afternoon,

It may be Tuesday and it may be raining but here at the Post we like to remain optimistic, so we have shared Lancashire's five best beer gardens as suggested by you and inspired by a better weather outlook toward the weekend.

Meanwhile, if you have not yet ventured to eat out, you may consider one of the eating establishments taking part in the government's  Eat out to help out scheme.

As part of our #supportlocal campaign we are sharing many of those restaurants who have registered so far - you can get a 50 per cent discount when you eat in from August 3 to 31.

In news, four people have been hospitalised following a crash near Lancaster this morning and we bring the latest updates from the huge brawl that erupted in Preston last night and saw three men arrested.

And if you think you may be impacted by the changing Covid-19 guidance on travelling to Spain, we have shared everything you need to know - plus we have the statistics on cases.

Have a great Tuesday and don't forget your brolly.

Nicola Adam, deputy editor
