View email online | | | | | Mar 2, 2021 | | | | | | Good afternoon, We've been able to share happy news today in the story of a man who has battled Covid-19 including 52 days on a ventilator and come out fighting. Dad-of-two Sean Lonergan, from Bamber Bridge, spent Christmas in a coma at Royal Preston Hospital and his family were told to expect the worst yet he has lived to tell the tale. Wishing him all the best on his continued journey to recovery. Meanwhile, Lancashire's Director of public health says '2021 will be bumpy' as he makes a plea for continued vigilance in observing coronavirus restrictions. In double tragic news today, a man has died after his car was in collision with a tree near a picnic spot at a Wyre village and another man died when his car smashed into a tree near Carnforth. Plus a young girl was taken to hospital with arm injuries after being attacked by a dog in Leyland. We've also shared, in pictures, the very special tributes made to the much-loved resident of Garstang. Residents lined the streets to say farewell to Margaret Walmsley.
