Hi John,

Do you have travel plans this summer that will take you to the mountains, beach, or some other fun place?

This is a delightful idea for collecting bits and pieces of ephemera from your next holiday...

Make a trinket folder to save little pieces of local lore and wonder!

I'm like a 5-year-old, always putting oddball things into my pockets, and this speaks to me. Maybe you, too?!

The source of this image is unknown, so I did some research to help you recreate the magic.

  • For the plastic sleeve, you could recreate this with a clear protective photo page, a Protective Photo Page for Slides or Trading Card Sleeves (slightly larger size).
  • Once the sand, rock, or ticket stub is tucked into the compartment, stitch it up with a needle and thread.
  • For the pages, I couldn't find the unique thin wooden pages, but these thick deckled watercolor pages would look pretty great. Chipboard is another good option.

Cheers,

Rachelle
