Training built around current real-world expertise and fully aligned with the regulator |
Machinery safety training from HSE Machinery safety is vitally important to minimise harm and prevent accidents. Employers should consider how their workers use machinery, manage any risks effectively and have adequate maintenance arrangements in place to ensure it remains safe to use. HSE runs a series of courses to help you understand and control the risks associated with working with machinery. This course covers the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and provides delegates with a thorough knowledge of this legislation and the duties of an employer to provide safe equipment for their employees to use. 13 August 2024 | Live online | 8 October 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 7 November 2024 | Live online | 560 per delegate | Machinery risk assessment is explicitly required by the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, however many people still struggle to know what is suitable and sufficient to satisfy these regulations. This training course gives delegates practical hands-on experience of conducting a machinery risk assessment using structured techniques which demystify the process given in BS EN ISO 12100: 2010. 5 June 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 15 August 2024 | Live online | 9 October 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 560 per delegate | This course introduces delegates to the UK Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, which regulate the design, manufacture and supply of machines, assemblies of machines, partially complete machines and other machinery products in the United Kingdom. It also explains the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, which serves the same purpose in the European Economic Area (EEA). 6 June 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 20 August 2024 | Live online | 10 October 2024 | HSE Science and Research Centre, Buxton | 560 per delegate | Machinery often incorporates safeguards to protect users from hazards. Those responsible for the safety of machinery need to understand the basics of how these safeguards and their associated control systems operate. This course builds on the PUWER and UK Machinery Regulations courses and provide delegates with a wider understanding of what safeguards are available, how they are applied and how they work in conjunction with a control system All of these courses can be run in-company and this may be a more time and cost effective training solution for your organisation.
