The M6 in Cumbria is closed northbound between J39 (Shap) and J40 (Penrith) for emergency works following an earlier collision today involving a heavy goods vehicle that overturned and came to rest on the central reservation. Lane 3 (of 3) is also closed southbound between J40 and J39.
