Good afternoon,

We're only days away from restrictions being eased further in line with the government's 'roadmap' out of lockdown.

From Monday people will be given more freedom, including being able to meet outdoors, play sport with friends outdoors and travel more freely.

You can read more about what you can and can't do here.

Here's what's happening around the region today:

Lytham Festival cancelled

Bosses behind Lancashire's biggest music event Lytham Festival have announced it will not go ahead due to ongoing restrictions with the Covid pandemic.

Lytham Festival founders Peter Taylor and Daniel Cuffe have said they had 'explored every possibility' in trying to host the five-night music showcase which this year included headliners Lionel Richie, Duran Duran and Diana Ross.

We're you planning to go? You can read more about the postponed event here.

Who has helped you?

We asked you to nominate a local business which has helped you during the pandemic - and we received nearly 300 replies.

Today we celebrate a small selection of traders for their everyday efforts in helping their communities over the last year.

Tip changes

Finally, as well as social and leisure restrictions being eased next week, rules at local recycling centres are also being eased.

If you've accumulated a lot of rubbish in the last few months and can't wait to get rid, here's what you need to know.

Have a great weekend.
