Those “parts” consist not only of good, interesting art but also news coverage of institutional revelations and refusals (especially concerning the Middle East and immigration these days); activist-artists demonstrating for and against the strangeness of our current world, and work by marginalized artists like women and people of color that doesn’t always conform to the demands of a market that increasingly defines what is and isn’t shown in museums and galleries.
