LSU wins ... again without Angel Reese

The LSU women's basketball team beat Texas Southern 106-47 Monday night.

It's always a story when LSU wins a game in one of the big sports, but it was far from the only story Monday. Or the biggest story.

The biggest story was the ongoing saga of Angel Reese, who was not with the team for the second straight game after being benched at halftime this past Tuesday against Kent State.

LSU coach Kim Mulkey had some words on the subject, and we actually got a social media post from the exiled Bayou Barbie herself. We also have a photo gallery from the Texas Southern game, as five LSU players scored in double figures with a team that looks like it's learning how to play — and thrive — without her.

Of course it's the final week of the football regular season, as LSU prepares for its finale Saturday against Texas A&M (11 a.m., ESPN). Coach Brian Kelly had his last weekly news conference Monday, giving updates on three key injured players and their status for the game against the Aggies.

The list of 10 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award (best wide receiver) came out Monday, with LSU the only school with two players on the list. Two guesses (no more than that) who they were. Of course, you don't have to guess, just click here on this handy dandy link.

We've got the latest LSU-Texas A&M odds and TV information for you in this other handy dandy link.

Baseball wrapped up fall practice over the weekend. We heard Monday from coach Jay Johnson and a couple of players about where the Tigers are and where they go from here headed toward the 2024 season.

And, finally, the LSU men's basketball team is back from Charleston, South Carolina, where the Tigers took two of three over the weekend in the Charleston Classic. We have a wrap-up report.

That's all for today, folks. That's plenty. We've got to defrost the turkey and get Brian Kelly some real, uncanned cranberry sauce (that's the thing he said he has to have on the Thanksgiving table) and will be back tomorrow.
