If at first you don't succeed, try and try ... and try again. The LSU men head to Georgia on Tuesday night making a brave (should we say futile?) attempt to break their now 12-game losing streak. The game will be at 7:30 p.m. on the SEC Network. The Tigers are 12-13 and 1-11 in SEC play. Georgia is 15-10 and 5-7. Meanwhile, the LSU women's basketball team is trying plot its next move from its losing streak of ... one. Or rather, how to stop Sunday's 88-64 loss at South Carolina from becoming a losing streak. The Tigers (23-1, 11-1 SEC) return home to host Ole Miss on Thursday night, a dangerous opponent who went to 20-5 and 9-3 with a win Monday over Kentucky. Over at Alex Box Stadium the excitement continues to build for the No. 1-ranked Tigers' opener. But Monday brought some rare bad news, as pitcher Grant Taylor has a torn UCL. LSU's first game is at 6:30 p.m. Friday against Western Michigan. Finally, the LSU gymnastics team is prepping for its own showdown Friday with No. 2 Florida at the PMAC. The Tigers lost at Auburn this past Friday but got some great performances from Aleah Finnegan, Haleigh Bryant and Alyona Shchennikova for 197.500 score. The Tigers are trying to go into this week's meet relishing their underdog role against the high-flying Gators. Thank you for subscribing and for reading this far.
