Loyola’s apology: Loyola University has apologized to the student journalist it accused of violating the school’s code of student conduct, Stephanie Riegel reports. At issue? The student journalist’s recording of an interview with a campus police officer as part of her reporting work for the campus newspaper, The Maroon. Funeral for a police officer: A New Orleans police officer who died in the line of duty will be laid to rest today with full police honors. The service for Trevor Abney is taking place today at the Northshore Harbor Center in Slidell and will include a large police procession to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
