Every morning, as you wake up and reach for your phone…
Dear Reader: I am sure you share this experience: Every morning, as you wake up and reach for your phone, your inbox has dozens of gallery emails, museum newsletters, and more demanding your attention. But for me, there is one newsletter in particular that stands out — Hyperallergic — on which you can rely on to provide pertinent, cogent, informative, and provocative coverage of the art world … not to mention engaging podcasts, crosswords, interviews, and so much more. It goes without saying that Hyperallergic consistently lives up to its mission to present “serious, playful, and radical thinking about art in the world today.” It is hierarchy-gender-identity-canon-and-consensus blind, so you can be assured of incredibly open-ended coverage of the global art world and beyond. Each time I read it, I learn about new artists and consider new perspectives: It provides invaluable scholarly resources that are crucial for my own writing practice. That’s why I support Hyperallergic as a member, and why I suggest you join me. —Lowery Stokes Sims
