Los Angeles April 1, 2020 Letter from the editor: Los Angeles artists are getting creative during the quarantine period. Every Sunday, Anna Breininger and Kristin Cammermeyer will be hosting still life drawing sessions over Zoom that will hopefully offer some "joy and stress relief." And Patty Chang just put out an "open call for fears" for an upcoming project at the 18th Street Arts Center. She's been working on the project since well before the COVID-19 pandemic, but as she's said, "fears and anxieties are more on the surface for everyone now.” You can contribute your own fears by reading more here. Another Los Angeles artist, Lisa Adams, shares her productive time in the studio in our latest installment of "A View From the Easel During Times of Quarantine." If you're an artist and are interested in sharing your own experiences of quarantining in your studio, please submit! The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles has decided to lay off all part-time staff at the museum due to the pandemic. Sadly, the museum is not alone in making this kind of call as part-time and contractual staff across the art world are now facing unemployment.
