Health-RI Conference
Setting Data in Motion

6th October 2022, Jaarbeurs Media Plaza in Utrecht

On Thursday 6th October, the Health-RI conference: Setting Data in Motion takes place. Besides an update on Health-RI activities, the conference promises to be an exciting and thought-provoking day, with interesting speakers and interactive sessions. We are happy to share that the Health-RI conference 2022 is almost fully booked

Here are some of the highlights of the program:

Sylvia Veereschild combines her personal experience as a former breast cancer patient with her professional experience as a health-IT project manager: “Until recently, the societal importance of data sharing rarely was a priority over the individual interests of organizations, hospitals or doctors. That is beginning to change.”
Chief Technical Officer Wiro Niessen will give an update on Health-RI's roadmap and current activities. Niessen, a professor of Biomedical Image Analysis at Erasmus MC and TU Delft, started as CTO at Health-RI from a personal motivation: “Organizing a health data infrastructure can lead to top-level research, but it's harder to explain than shiny hardware or a particle accelerator.”
Vibeke van der Sprong (Deputy Director General of the Danish Health Data Authority) will give an inspiring talk on what we can learn from Denmark in the field of health data infrastructure. The Danish Health Data Authority is instrumental in providing coherent health data and digital solutions that benefit patients and practitioners as well as researchers.
