Good afternoon, I'm Naomi and I look after those all important archives at the Lancashire Post towers. And what a gem they are. Each week I have a good rummage through them to find you pictures that I think will bring back the very best of memories. This week we started with a journey through Leyland in the 60s and 70s. This looks like a time of great change for this South Ribble town. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I did researching them. And there's more to come from Leyland with a peek at the town during the 80s and 90s. Every week I take a specific year and search for images of regular folk who were pictured in our newspapers throughout the year. This week was the turn of 2003. A similar one looking at folk on the Fylde coast also featured. And lastly, there was a trip back to high school proms of the past. This week was the turn of Corpus Christi Catholic High School. While I have you here, I'd like to take the opportunity to ask if there are any particular look backs you'd like me to feature? A specific event or area? Please let me know and I will do my best to find it. Have a great weekend! Naomi [email protected] |
