Today I want to share the story of an Oregan store called Storied Vintage. It was founded by Jana Fulop and her husband Mark who sent this story in. I’ve kept it in his words because he said it best.

“David,

When Jana and I, decided to expand her growing vintage furniture business and open a retail location, her goal was to represent herself authentically in her business and business practices. Part of that authenticity is that we are both people of very progressive faith.

So when it came time to decide how to message the fact that her store was a safe, welcoming and embracing place for all, the choice of Love* Without the Fine Print was a nod to inclusion, openness and faith. We have a few other naked pastor prints, and coffee mugs in our home, so using the stickers in the store made total sense.

Mark and Jana have scattered stickers in their store as small reminders that everyone who shops there is loved and welcome.

What was once Jana’s favorite mug is now a planter in the shop. What a cool way to fill a broken thing with new life!

The big takeaway from this happy story is that small reminders and positive messages are so important. A tiny detail like a sticker can make a huge difference in making someone feel safe and welcome. And that’s always worth it!
