COVID Lockdown Restrictions | The Victorian Government has extended the current Lockdown until Tuesday, 27 July at 11.59pm. There remains only five reasons to leave home: shopping for necessary goods and services (one person per day, per household)exercising for up to two hours with one other personcare or caregiving, including getting a COVID-19 testauthorised work or education if you canât do it from hometo get a COVID-19 vaccination at the nearest possible location.Shopping and exercise must be done within 5km of your home and face masks must be worn both indoor and outdoors. Restaurants and cafes can open for take-away only. Hairdressing, beauty and gyms will remain closed. You can view a full list of Authorised Workers and Services here. Cash Support for Businesses During Lockdown | The Victorian and Federal Governments will provide cash grants for businesses affected by the latest Lockdown. Recipients of the Business Costs Assistance Program Round Two and Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund will receive automatic top-up payments so check your bank statement or contact your accountant. Businesses that did not apply for these support programs in relation to the May/June lockdown, or had been ineligible to apply but are now eligible, can apply for July lockdown support payments by contacting Business Victoria. Microbusinesses not registered for GST will be eligible for the Covid-19 Disaster Payment. The Victorian Government will establish a concierge service in coming days to help these businesses access this support. Eligible public events and public events suppliers affected by the lockdown can receive support of up to $25,000 and $10,000 respectively through an extension of the Impacted Public Events Support Program. A new round of the Live Performance Support programs, with funding of up to $7,000 for presenters and up to $2,000 for suppliers, has also been confirmed. COVID-19 Disaster Payment for Workers | The Victorian and Federal Government have announced that COVID-19 Disaster Payments will be made available to workers impacted during the current Victorian lockdown. Applications for payments must be made by the Individual worker and not by the workplace. Payments of $600 will be made to Individuals that lose 20 hours or more of work during the period of the lockdown. Payments of $375 will be made to Individuals that lose between 8 and up to 20 hours of work during the period of the lockdown. For more information click here. |
